So I'm sitting here at almost zero hour, wishing, wishing it was four o'clock and the afternoon was done.

I'm taking a bunch of christmas wreaths and decorations I've made to sell at a senior's home - and I'm suddenly unexpectedly wondering what in the world I was thinking when I so confidently agreed to the idea last month. Ever done that?

Risks. Even small ones. So much easier to talk about than to do...

Christmas is coming, and with it some events I'm looking forward to checking out both in town, and out here in the valley this year.

The Vancouver Christmas Market at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza from November 24th to December 24th looks amazing. All the magic of a traditional outdoor German Christmas market. Live music, caroling, german foods. Admission price only $5 for adults, and $2 for kids. (although check the site for details, apparently a fire has delayed the opening.)















Van Dusen Gardens is hosting their annual Festival of Lights from December 11th to January 3rd.
















Arts Club Theatre is presenting two Christmas productions, It's a Wonderful Life, November 18th and White Christmas starting December 4th.

And out here in Mission, The Fraser Valley Academy of Dance is putting on it's annual production of The Nutcracker at Clarke Theatre, November 27th, 2/7:30 pm.

More from the class: an unchristmas wreath, a wedding garland, incredible wristband floral corsage jewelery made of simple wire and bouquet holders made of foam & pvc pipe.

Ohhhhhhh, Tuscany.

Villa Monticello was built by the counts of Orsolini at Avenza in 1766 as a small country retreat. In the late 19th century, it was acquired by French Dervillé family, who did some renovating by adding grand flights of steps at the front and back, as well as loggias (balconies or entrance porches) on three sides of the villa. Statues and fragments of ancient sculptures still adorn the main entrance, while marble vases and a marble gable were placed on the roof.

Fairytale Candlesticks

I don't know if the odd jumps at me, or I jump at the odd - but I'm loving this crooked candlestick. It reminds me of the dancing candlestick in Beauty & the Beast. This one was distorted in a three 3 program and cast in resin and marble. And it's only $24 bucks. Here.
